Roghayeh Mohamadiyan set to make history in Rajadamnern Stadium title fight

Roghayeh Mohamadiyan is on the verge of making history as the first Iranian woman to compete for a Rajadamnern Stadium championship belt, one of the most prestigious titles in the world of Muay Thai.

Based in Bangkok, Mohamadiyan trains under Brazilian coach Wesley Marcondes at Rinn Muaythai. Over the past several years, she has built a strong reputation across Asia, competing primarily in Thailand, where she has continued to refine her skills and establish herself among the sport’s rising contenders.

This title opportunity represents more than a personal achievement. It is a historic moment for women’s Muay Thai and carries even greater significance considering the challenges faced by women in Iran. Her presence on one of the sport’s biggest stages stands as a symbol of determination, perseverance, and progress.

The opportunity comes at a defining moment in her career. In her most recent fight, Mohamadiyan entered the ring as the underdog and delivered a statement victory over Thailand’s Pinpetch Mor Rajaphatkorat, who was ranked No. 2 in the division at the time. The win firmly established her as one of the top contenders and made her title shot impossible to ignore.

Her partnership with Wesley Marcondes has also played a crucial role in her development. The pair have worked together for several years and even changed training camps within Thailand in pursuit of higher-level preparation and better opportunities for growth. That commitment and long-term vision have now led them to the biggest stage of Mohamadiyan’s career.

Standing across from reigning champion Marie Ruumet, Roghayeh Mohamadiyan will have the chance to showcase the experience, maturity, and skills she has developed throughout her journey. More than fighting for a championship belt, she enters the ring with an opportunity to make history and become the first Iranian woman to capture one of Muay Thai’s most prestigious titles.
