The rematch that Lumpinee has been calling for since June is shaping up to be a full-blown war. On Monday (2), Aslamjon Ortikov opened the doors of TC Muaythai Gym in Ram Intra for an open workout with the press, showcasing his physique ready for the showdown against Asadula Imangazaliev at The Inner Circle 39 on November 20 at Lumpinee Stadium (Ram Intra).
This fight is significant for two reasons: it is for the ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai world title and serves as a qualifier for the semifinals of the ONE Muay Thai World Grand Prix in the 125–135 lb category. The event will be streamed exclusively for subscribers on Live.ONEFC.com from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Bangkok time).
At The Inner Circle 20 in June, Asadula — the “Dagestan Ninja” — handed Ortikov his first loss by split decision (2–1) and claimed the vacant title. The close score, divided crowd, and Chatri Sityodtong's confirmation of a rematch days later set the stage for this encounter. Now, the undefeated Russian, with a record of 9–0 in ONE, is making his first title defense; the Uzbek, ranked No. 1, returns as the challenger with a clear mission.

During the open workout, Ortikov spoke candidly. He mentioned that since the immediate announcement of the rematch, he has been training extensively at TC and also at Silk Muay Thai to “get tough” with professionals of the same caliber. Weight? “I’ve never had a problem; I don’t need to cut much.” Reflecting on the mistake from their first encounter, he admitted that he relaxed too much in the fifth round, thinking he had already won — and he does not want to repeat that. His sole goal: “to take the belt,” whether by knockout or over the full five rounds.
The card for Inner Circle 39 will also finalize the Grand Prix bracket with another quarterfinal on the same card: Thailand's Black Panther against British-Pakistani Ubaid Hussain. The other two brackets (including Rodtang vs. Nong-O) will take place at Inner Circle 38 on November 13. Tickets for Lumpinee are available through Thai Ticket Major.
