Fighter Neimar Almeida from Teixeira de Freitas kicked off his journey in the RWS, the Rajadamnern World Series, one of the premier Muay Thai competitions held in Thailand, with a victory. The Brazilian stepped into the ring last Saturday, September 26, at the historic Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok, defeating Englishman Finlay Smith by a score of 2 rounds to 1.
Representing the Strike Team and Brazil, Neimar had to rally after a challenging start. In the first round, Finlay established a more effective pace, controlling much of the action and making it difficult for the Brazilian to find his rhythm.
The comeback began in the second round. More attuned to his opponent's movements, Neimar started to find openings and increased the pressure. With more powerful strikes and greater offensive presence, the fighter from Teixeira de Freitas leveled the contest and took control of the fight.
In the third and decisive round, the Brazilian maintained his intensity and delivered his best performance. More confident, he dictated the pace, landed solid combinations, and neutralized Finlay's key actions. The judges confirmed Neimar's comeback with a decision of 2 rounds to 1 in his favor.
