Alber Correia Claims WMO Title in Hong Kong with Spectacular Knockout at Dream Stage Championship

Brazilian Muay Thai shone once again in Hong Kong. On Friday, October 23, during the Dream Stage Championship held at Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai, Brazilian Alber Correia captured the Hong Kong national championship belt from the World Muaythai Organization (WMO) after a knockout victory over Moroccan Chabi Mohammed.

This is not the first time the Dream Stage has hosted a Brazilian athlete competing for the WMO national title in Hong Kong, nor is it the first time a Brazilian has emerged victorious in the title fight. This time, Alber Correia continued that legacy of success on Asian soil.

The victory came in impressive fashion. During the bout, Alber landed a stunning jumping knee strike that connected squarely with Chabi Mohammed's face. The blow sent his opponent to the canvas, securing another knockout for the Brazilian's record, along with the coveted blue belt from the organization.

A Career Marked by International Titles

With this result, Alber Correia reaches a total of 28 professional fights, accumulating 26 victories, 14 of which are by knockout. These numbers reflect the journey of an athlete who has been making a name for himself in the international combat sports scene.

The Brazilian already boasts significant achievements in his career, including world champion titles in X1 Kickboxing and I-1, along with other belts earned throughout his journey.

During his time in Thailand, Alber Correia often trains at Muaythai J Base, a gym that is part of his preparation routine when he is in the country.

The Long-Awaited WMO Blue Belt

Among the various titles he has won throughout his career, the WMO blue belt represents another important chapter for Alber Correia.

The victory at the Dream Stage Championship not only reinforces the athlete's current success but also highlights the increasingly significant presence of Brazilians in international Muay Thai competitions.

Now, Alber adds the long-coveted blue belt from the World Muaythai Organization to his collection, marking yet another significant achievement in his career and once again bringing Brazil into the spotlight in the rings of Hong Kong.
