Buakaw Banchamek's Sister Attacked, Muay Thai Star Calls for Justice on Social Media

Thai Muay Thai star Buakaw Banchamek took to social media to report an assault on his sister in Surin province, Thailand. According to information released by the Thai portal MGR Online, the woman was attacked by a man after she refused to toast with him.

Reports indicate that the victim was sitting and consuming drinks when a man approached her and asked to toast. After her refusal, he became extremely angry and threw a glass at her face, causing a cut and leaving her face bloodied.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Rattanaburi district of Surin province. According to the complaint, the suspect had not yet reached out to the victim to offer assistance or take responsibility for the incident.

Buakaw Demands Accountability from the Attacker

Outraged by the situation, Buakaw posted a message on social media demanding action and questioning who would cover his sister's medical expenses.

"Who will take responsibility for the expenses? My sister was assaulted and had her face disfigured by someone she didn't even know. If no one takes responsibility, I will take action myself," the fighter stated, according to the translated report.

In the post, Buakaw also suggested that the attacker might be the son of an influential person in the area and mentioned a possible family connection to a district authority.

The fighter further stated that he was awaiting a response and the fulfillment of a promise made to his sister.

Case Gains Attention on Social Media

The complaint gained traction after images showing the victim's injuries and the fighter's public statement were shared.

Known internationally for his career in Muay Thai, Buakaw is now using his visibility to demand justice and accountability for the attack on his family member.
