Tapaokaew Singmawin (ตะเภาแก้ว สิงห์มาวิน) is back in the spotlight both inside and outside the ring. After losing the Rajadamnern title, being accused of throwing a fight, and spending months away for treatment, the fighter scored a knockout victory over Ossama Elhaou in the second round at RWS 219, the RWS KNOCKTOBERFEST, on Saturday (31).
Known by the nickname "Khun Khao Wua Chon" (ขุนเข่าวัวชน), which translates to "the bull of the knees," Tapaokaew drew attention not only for his performance but also for the events surrounding it.

In a video released by the Siam Muay page, he spoke for the first time after being accused of having "taken a dive" in the fight where he lost the welterweight (147 lb) title to Irishman Niall McGreevy. According to Muay Thai Authority, the setback occurred on July 11, 2026, when McGreevy landed an elbow strike and knocked him out in the second round.
It is important to note that the accusation does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing. The caption from Siam Muay highlights that the fighter chose to speak out, but does not detail what he said, and therefore the content of his statements is not reproduced here.

What is clear from the post is the final message: after months away for treatment, Tapaokaew promises to get back in shape and return to contend for the 147 lb Rajadamnern title in the near future.
In the ring, the response has already come. According to a summary from MuayThaiStand, he knocked out Ossama Elhaou in the second round of RWS 219, on a night that also saw Kimluay stop Jozef Molnar in the second round to claim the interim 140 lb title.
Now it remains to be seen when the "bull of the knees" will have the chance to reclaim the title that once adorned his waist.
