Muay Thai Queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues to Make MMA Debut Against Charlotte Padie at Lumpinee

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is set to transition from the Muay Thai ring to the MMA cage. The 28-year-old Brazilian, who is the reigning ONE Championship women's atomweight Muay Thai world champion, will make her professional MMA debut against France's Charlotte Padie at The Inner Circle 39. The event takes place on Friday, November 20, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, with exclusive streaming available for subscribers at live.onefc.com. The card kicks off at 6:30 PM local time.

Allycia's journey in ONE has been impressive from the start. In August 2020, she debuted in the organization against then-champion Stamp Fairtex and claimed the title in her very first fight. After a break for the birth of her son, she returned in 2023 to unify the title against interim champion Janet "JT" Todd. She subsequently defended her belt against Cristina Morales, Marie McManamon, and Johanna Persson. Most recently, she became the first athlete to defeat ONE's kickboxing champion in the division, Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom.

The move to MMA has been in the works for some time. According to ONE, Allycia has been training in jiu-jitsu and MMA for years at Phuket Fight Club in Thailand. Her long-term goal is to capture the organization's women's atomweight MMA title.

Charlotte Padie is also a striking specialist. She has held the French national titles in kickboxing and Burmese boxing (lethwei) and gained amateur MMA experience in France this year before turning professional. As both fighters are making their professional debuts, neither has an MMA record. A victory for the French fighter over ONE's most successful female Muay Thai champion would certainly put her name in the spotlight.

The card for The Inner Circle 39 will also feature a rematch between Asadula Imangazaliev and Aslamjon Ortikov for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title, marking the quarterfinals of the Grand Prix in that category.
