Olympic champion Somrak, also known as Somluck Kamsing, or "Bas," has turned his focus to nurturing new talent. On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, he participated in the launch of the "Ton Kla Muay Isan" project (Isan Muay Saplings) at the temporary Mangkorn Isan stadium in Ban Nong Eutue, Kanthararawichai district, Maha Sarakham province.
Together with officials from the Thofun Muay Isan club, training camp heads, and fighters, the gold medalist taught the fundamentals of Muay Thai and amateur boxing to over 20 local youths.
The classes are free and will run until October 31, spanning five full days. The curriculum includes rules and standards of officiating, technical deep dives into Muay Thai, and the wai kru ritual, with demonstrations explaining the significance of each movement. Those who meet the requirements will receive a certificate from the Mangkorn Isan stadium.
