Yodkhunpon Faces Dechchawalit in Generational Clash at The Inner Circle 40

ONE Championship has matched two fighters at very different stages of their careers. On one side, Yodkhunpon, the "Piranha of Thailand," comes off a knockout debut and a performance bonus. On the other, 18-year-old Dechchawalit Silk Muaythai aims to extend his five-fight winning streak in the organization. The bout takes place on Friday, November 27, at The Inner Circle 40, at Lumpinee Stadium (Ramintra) in Bangkok.

At 31 years old, Yodkhunpon boasts an impressive resume. Hailing from Nakhon Ratchasima, he has won titles on various stages and was also the K-1 super lightweight champion. He made his ONE Lumpinee debut in June at event 160, where he knocked out Turkish fighter Semih Sahin Cindir and earned a bonus of 350,000 baht. Now, he returns for his second fight in the organization.

Dechchawalit, on the other hand, represents the new generation of Thai Muay Thai. From Chonburi, he has won all five of his appearances in ONE. His most recent victory came in July at The Inner Circle 21, where he defeated French fighter Tom Cass by unanimous decision. Against Yodkhunpon, this will be his sixth fight in the promotion.

The young fighter was scheduled to face Otis Waghorn at ONE Lumpinee 170 in September. Now, he faces a different challenge: for the first time in ONE, he will compete against a fellow Thai. The 13-year age difference between the two adds an intriguing element to the matchup.

The fight will be contested under Muay Thai rules in the bantamweight division (135 to 145 pounds). The Inner Circle 40 will be streamed live exclusively for members at Live.ONEFC.com from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Thailand time).
