Petchchumpae Wins Rematch in China, Retains WBA Asia Bantamweight Title

Thai fighter Petchchumpae Highland Gym remains at the top of the WBA Asia Female bantamweight division. On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the champion traveled to Luzhou, China, and defeated Li Yanyu by unanimous decision, successfully defending her title in a rematch with a clearer outcome than their first encounter.

Petchchumpae, whose real name is Phannaluck Noppalukkul, received the victory from all three judges, with scorecards reading 97-93, 98-92, and 96-94. The fight took place at an event promoted by Liu Gang.

The first bout occurred in August in Bangkok for the vacant WBA Asia Female bantamweight title. At that time, the Thai fighter won by split decision, with the judges disagreeing on the outcome.

This time, there was no division in the scorecards. All three officials declared Petchchumpae the winner, ensuring a successful title defense on Chinese soil.

In addition to the WBA Asian title, Petchchumpae is ranked 10th in the bantamweight division of the organization, 17th in the WBC super-bantamweight rankings, and also holds the WBC International title.
