Tom Yum Kung Heads to Lumpinee to Face Yassir Rassafi with ONE Contract in Sight
Tom Yum Kung arrives on a four-fight winning streak to take on Yassir Rassafi at ONE Friday Fights 176, at Lumpinee in Bangkok. This match is crucial for his aspirations with ONE Championship.

With four consecutive victories and a potential contract on the line, Tom Yum Kung (ต้มยำกุ้ง) is set to fight for a spot in ONE Championship this Friday, October 30, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
The news was first reported by Thai journalist Mister Pong, who stated on Monday night (26) that the fighter is “on the path to securing a big contract with ONE.” According to him, Tom Yum Kung possesses a beautiful fighting style, sharp skills, a good heart, and recently, a cleverness that shows he knows how to navigate the ring. The message was capped off with the hashtag: “this should be resolved on Friday” (#ศุกร์นี้น่าจะเอาอยู่).
His opponent will be Yassir Rassafi from Morocco, in a Muay Thai bout in the bantamweight category, consisting of three rounds of three minutes each. This match is part of ONE Friday Fights 176, scheduled for 6:30 PM (Thailand time), on the same day as The Inner Circle 36. According to Tapology, it is the fourth fight on a 14-fight card in the preliminary block.
The artwork accompanying the post labels the matchup as “fight no. 3” and features the phrase “สั้นกว่าเยอะ แต่คมกว่าแน่!!” — which translates to “much shorter, but definitely sharper.” In Mister Pong's view, while the Thai fighter may be the smaller of the two, he comes equipped with well-honed skills.

Statistics provide context for the anticipation. Tapology records Tom Yum Kung's four consecutive wins, the most recent being a unanimous decision over Anar Mammadov at ONE Friday Fights 158 on June 12, 2026. This impressive streak has boosted his confidence.
A note on the name: ONE refers to him as “Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai,” while Tapology lists him as “Tomyamkung Pakornpornsurin.” The post's artwork displays “ต้มยำกุ้ง ภูมิใจไทย,” so we have opted for the simpler form, Tom Yum Kung.
Now, all eyes are on the bell. Friday promises to be an exciting day for the fighter aiming to make his mark in ONE Championship.
